More than can ever be numbered
Are the blessings of God to my soul!
How then can I with such knowledge,
Have a heart that's often so cold?

I was chosen of God before time,
My adoption predestined of old;
A sinner who now calls God "Father,"
Yet my heart is often so cold!

My sins are now all forgiven,
A sheep returned to the fold;
Preserved unto eternal glory,
Still my heart is often so cold!

My God has loved me so freely
And blessed me with riches untold;
To my soul He has ever been faithful,
Though my heart is often so cold!

Lord you know that I love you supremely,
That my heart is a grief to my soul,
So deliver me soon from this body
And this heart that is often so cold!

Lord my heart is not on this world,
Its fame, Its silver, or its gold,
My desire is to see You face to face
And a heart that never grows cold!
