Introduction to;
The Doctrine of Predestination
The term PREDESTINATION simply means;
TO DETERMINE BEFOREHAND.
But why study this Doctrine of Predestination or any other doctrine. Is doctrine important?
John:7:17
If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
1 Timothy:4:16
Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
2 Timothy:3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Predestination is a Bible Term so where do we find it in the Bible?
Rom:8:29:
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Rom:8:30:
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Eph:1:5:
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
Eph:1:11:
In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
Should we try to Spiritually Grow in knowledge concerning this doctrine?
2 Peter 3:18
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
John 17:17
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
If someone asked you about Predestination...what would you say?
1 Peter 3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Predestination covers two different areas;
Predestination is very important. It is part of God's Order Of Salvation
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. God's Order Of Salvation
To man, Salvation transcends time. But as far as God is concern everything was completed before time
