CHRIST OUR PASSOVER
1 CORINTHIANS 5:7 / EXODUS 12
A PLAGUE was to take place and all the first born were
to be killed and judgement to be executed. Moses was told to
STRIKE LAMB'S BLOOD on the door post of the house. God said
"WHEN I SEE THE BLOOD, I WILL PASS OVER YOU, AND THE PLAGUE
SHALL NOT BE UPON YOU TO DESTROY YOU."
- A token - this indicated that someone had already
died within the home. The SLAIN LAMB was a
SUBSTITUTE. Therefore no first born needed to be
killed. Judgement was not needed at this home
- If SOMEONE DIED IN OUR PLACE THEN GOD CANNOT PLACE
JUDGEMENT ON US.
- CHRIST THE LAMB OF GOD SHED HIS BLOOD FOR HIS ELECT.
- 2 Cor.5:7 "For even CHRIST OUR PASSOVER is sacrificed
for us."
- Matt.26:28 "For this is MY BLOOD of the new
testament, which is SHED FOR MANY for the remission
of sins."
JUDGEMENT WILL THEREFORE PASSOVER HIS ELECT
If Christ shed his blood for every single person, then
judgement would pass over all. For God can not be just if
two (2) must pay the sin price of one (1).
