Sovereign Grace of God - Mansions - Are they being prepared for Believers?

"In my Father's house ARE many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you..."

These mansions EXIST ALREADY - they do not need to me prepared. There 'ARE' many mansions.

Is Jesus talking about preparing a PHYSICAL PLACE for believers? Well I do not think so!

Jesus is preparing a DWELLING PLACE for us. He is preparing HIMSELF. He is making preparations necessary for HIS CHILDREN to enter Heaven. Jesus had to GO TO THE CROSS TO PURCHASE OUR SALVATION. We will enter into HIS ETERNAL HABITATION which is HIMSELF.

"GOD DWELLETH in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that WE DWELL IN HIM, and HE IN US, because he hath given us of his Spirit."

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD FOREVER."

God does ALL THE WORK in our salvation. That is why it is called GRACE. The Believer does nothing. Salvation is an UNEARNED GIFT!

Does Jesus go to PREPARE PLACES, OF DIFFERENT SIZES, for believers because of their works? NO, I don't think so. The best servants of Christ, even when they do the best services, must HUMBLY ACKNOWLEDGE that they are but UNPROFITABLE SERVANTS!

"So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are UNPROFITABLE SERVANTS: we have done that which was our duty to do."

"For though I PREACH THE GOSPEL, I have NOTHING TO GLORY OF: for NECESSITY is lain upon me."

"Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee. And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake. Who shall not receive MANIFOLD MORE IN THIS PRESENT TIME and IN THE WORLD TO COME 'LIFE EVERLASTING'."

"Saying, the LAST have wrought but one hour, and thou has MADE THEM EQUAL UNTO US, which have borne the burden and heat of the day."
