ISRAEL AND TODAYS CHURCH

Are the churches today growing with spiritual knowledge and truth? NO! They are becoming increasingly apostate. God is spiritually blinding them today. The church of today is typified by the nation of Israel. Israel rejected the true Gospel and was blinded. Why are there fewer and fewer Churches preaching the True Gospel today? God is doing to the church today as he did to Israel.

FIRST: GOD begins to BLIND THE CHURCHES.

Isaiah 6:10;

"...shut their eyes; lest they all see with their eyes, and hear with their ears and understand and with their heart, and convert, and be healed".

SECOND: GOD REMOVES THE TRUTH FROM THE CHURCH.

Isaiah 3:1

"For behold, the Lord, The LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem, and from Judah, the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water.

THIRD: GOD REJECTS THE CHURCH.

Hosea 4:6

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because thou hast rejected knowledge I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."

God "divorced them".

FORTH: GOD BROUGHT JUDGEMENT UPON THE CHURCH, Israel, he destroyed them. He will also destroy the church of today.

Deuteronomy 28:47-49

"Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God....the Lord shall bring a nation against thee from far...".

The church of today is corrupted by gospels that are under the power of Satan.

II Timothy 3:1-5

"Having a form of godliness but deny the power therof."

People think they are saved because they went through rituals like baptisms or confessing their faith in a church, referring back to the free will gospel. Although these are signs and commands that we as believers should do. They do not bring salvation, else where would Grace fit in? Does God give you Grace, something that you do not deserve, but tell you that first you must confess your sins, repent, and be baptized? No; these are signs that you are saved not steps to achieve salvation.

Many pastors get their sermons from what others have written, church fathers, theologians, traditions, etc.

Jer. 23:28

"He that hath my word let him speak my word faithfully".

Scripture must be compared with scripture to determine what God is speaking to us.

II Tim. 2:16

"But SHUN profane and vain babbling for thy will receive increase unto more ungodliness."
