FISHERS OF MEN
LURES - GOSPELS

Many modern day preachers use techniques very similar to modern day fishermen. The fisherman of today, when he goes fishing, takes his rods, reels and fishing box. Within the fishing box are many different BAITS and LURES. These LURES are SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED to LURE the fish in. The LURE is made to LOOK EXACTLY LIKE the 'REAL THING', but in fact it is not. It is ARTIFICIAL. It is made TO DECEIVE the fish, TO ENTICE the fish. To CATCH the fish. Is this good for the fish? NO! The fish will be LURED INTO DEATH AND DESTRUCTION.

So it is with many preachers today.

• They bring their special music, their special guests, they say their special prayers, they have their well prepared sermons. They come preaching their FREE WILL GOSPEL, their GOOD WORKS GOSPEL, their SIGNS & WONDERS GOSPEL. They come FISHING FOR MEN.

  Matt.4:19

  "And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I WILL MAKE YOU FISHERS OF MEN."

• "But what are these preachers fishing with? They are fishing with FABLES:

  2 Tim. 4:4

  "and they shall turn away their ears from truth and shall return unto FABLES."

• They come fishing with BAITS & LURES, teaching things that people can SEE, FEEL, and DO.
• They are fishing with DECEPTION:

Matt.24:24

"For there shall arise FALSE CHRISTS and FALSE PROPHETS and shall show GREAT SIGNS and WONDERS; insomuch that, if it were possible they shall DECEIVE the very elect."

2 Cor.11:14

"And no marvel; for SATAN HIMSELF is transformed into an ANGEL OF LIGHT. Therefore it is no great thing if HIS MINISTERS also be transformed as MINISTERS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS."

Matt. 7:15

"BEWARE of FALSE PROPHETS, which come to you in SHEEP'S CLOTHING, but inwardly they are RAVENING WOLVES."

2 John 7

"For many DECEIVERS are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a DECEIVER and an antichrist."

Rev.13:11

"Two horns LIKE A LAMB and he SPAKE AS A DRAGON."

Did the disciples use LURES to catch their fish? NO! They used NETS and CAUGHT EXACTLY WHAT THE LORD WANTED THEM TO CATCH, WHEN THEY FISHED WHERE THE LORD WANTED THEM TOO.

John 21:6

"Cast the NET on the RIGHT SIDE of the ship and YE SHALL FIND. They cast therefore and now they were not able to draw it for the MULTITUDE OF FISHES."

John 21:11

"Simon Peter went up and drew the net to land full of great fishes, and HUNDRED and FIFTY and THREE: and for all there were so many, yet WAS NOT THE NET BROKEN."

Why did God specify the exact number of fish caught (153)? It represents ALL THE BELIEVERS, because the disciples were to be FISHERS OF MEN. Notice that the NET WAS NOT BROKEN. Christ came to SAVE HIS PEOPLE and WILL NOT LOSE ONE.

John 6:37

"ALL THAT THE FATHER GIVETH ME SHALL COME TO ME: and him that cometh to me I WILL IN NO WISE CAST OUT."

Rom.11:26

"and so ALL ISRAEL SHALL BE SAVED."

If preachers cast their own nets in their own direction they will catch nothing. But if they are obedient to the Lord they will catch fish, the exact number of fish that God wants them to catch.

So, be careful of
FISHERMEN - FALSE PROPHETS
that come with their
BAITS & LURES - FALSE GOSPELS
to
LURE FISH - DECEIVE MEN
into
FOLLOWING THEM
until they are
LURED INTO DEATH & DESTRUCTION.
