Four Important Questions.
I would like you to read and listen carefully to this sermon today. It may be controversial. It may, to a certain degree, be divisive. But I’m going to preach it anyway.
Romans 8: 28-31
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?"
If God foreknew us... and God predestinated us... and God justified us...if God be on our side... who can be against us?
Most of today’s preachers and teachers positively declare the same four things. On TV, on Radio, in Churches and other places they declare and agree on these four things:
John 3:16.
"For God so loved the world."
2nd. Peter:3:9:
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
1st.John:2:2:
"And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."
If God loves all men, the same, and all men are not saved, then his love has no power, his love has no distinction, his love has no part in our salvation. If God loved Judas and Peter, and Judas went to Hell and Peter went to Heaven, than his love had nothing to do it. If a person goes to heaven he can’t say he’s there because God loved him, for there are people in hell that God loved. How do you know that you won’t go to hell? You say God loves you, well if God loves everybody in hell, then you might go there too.
If God wants, wills, and wishes the salvation of a person and that person is not saved then the will of God has no power. No authority. No reason to pray ?thy will be done, because it’s not going to be done. He wills to save people in hell and couldn’t get the job done. People say: God wants to save you. God wills to save you but you wont let him? if this is true then the power is in the creature not the creator.
God loved him? God wills to save him and Christ died for him and he still went to hell, then what does Christ's death or blood have to do with our salvation. If men perish for whom Christ died then his death has not power to save, if men go to hell for whom he shed his blood then is blood has no power to cleanse, no power to sanctify, no power to justify. If God loved them, His blood was shed for them and there are people in hell that he loved. Then God failed. According to today’s theology.
This is confusing? People say that preaching is confusing. Of course they confuse them. Pastors preach one thing out of this side of the mouth and another thing out of the other side of their mouth. They say that God is almighty, and then they say he can’t do what he wills to do, unless you let him. They say Christ died for our sins, and then they turn around and say that he died for everybody’s sins.
Because he tries to do that for everybody and they won’t let him. If God convicts all, Holy spirit convicts all, regenerates all and calls all then salvation is not by the Holy Spirit, its by the will and works and merit of the sinner.
If God Loves all ,If God wills all to be saved, If Christ died for all and If the Holy Spirit Calls all, BUT ALL ARE NOT SAVED... then the trinity has no power to save, no real part in the salvation of sinners and the scripture that says ?Salvation is of the Lord, is just not so. Salvation is of Man? that is what is being preached?
The Scripture that declares that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses men from all sin is just not so. It may cleanse you and it may not cleanse you, it all depends on what you do about it.
You see how inconsistent this teaching is. This kind of preaching is inconsistent with the scriptures, logic, reason, and with justice. Its no wonder that most people are confused and most people won’t even go to church because it is so inconsistent.
I’m going to declare unto you what the scriptures teach about..... The Love of God, The Will of God, The Blood of Christ and The Irresistible power of the Holy Spirit.
The scripture says;
1 John:4:10:
"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins."
John is writing to the church, John is writing to believers. He is not writing to pagans or heathens or unbelievers.
We love him because he first loved us. Our love is a response to his love. The love of God is in Christ Jesus. His love is upon those given to Christ, his sheep, his elect, his church, his jewels, his brethren; he calls them by many names... He tells about the judgment and he says we will say to many people; I never you. How can he love someone he doesn't know? I never loved you; I never set my affection upon you. That's what the scriptures say.
John 3:36.
"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
We don't ever hear about the wrath of God. We don't ever hear that mentioned. Is there no wrath with God? Than how do you account for the flood, for the destruction of Sodom and Gomorra? Was that an act of love? No, it was an act of wrath from an angry God. If there is not wrath of God then how do you account for the destruction of Jericho and all those heathen cities, as Israel ran them over and destroyed every living thing..... That’s judgment from an angry God.
Romans:9:13:
"As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated."
Jacob was in the covenant. Jacob was in Christ, Jacob was his elect. But what about Esau??? God say he hated him.
Psalm 5;5
"The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity."
Psalm 7:11
"God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day."
Don't tell people that he loves unbelievers. His love is in Jesus Christ, that's where his love is.
Romans 8;38-39
"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
There's no one in hell that God loves. What kind of love is it? If you looked at me and said God loves me but you’re going to hell then I'd just assume he didn't love me, because that's a strange expression of love. What good is it?
Luke 11;11-13:
If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Matthew 7:11:
"If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"
God's love is in Christ and all whom he loves will be in glory...
Moses said; "Lord; show me your glory."
Romans 9:15
"For God saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy."
Ephesians 5 and 11
5: "Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,"
11: "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:"
God willed that Abraham come out of adultery and he came out. God willed that Zacchaeus come down out of the tree, and he did.
If salvation be left to your will, you will never be saved, or my will or anybody else's will. Because our will is in bondage to Sin. Our Lord Said;
John:5:40:
"And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life."
Romans:9:16:
"So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy."
There can only be one sovereign will, one free will, one dominating will in this world and that's God's will and he will make us willing in the day of his power.
John:1:13:
"Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."
John:10:16:
"And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd."
How is this going to be??? GOD WILLED IT!
John 6:37
"All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day."
If God will's the salvation of every human being then there's Universal salvation because God's will shall be done...
Luke:11:2:
"And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth."
"THY WILL BE DONE"... that's what Jesus taught us to pray.
John:14:14:
"If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it."
The blood of Christ was not shed in vain. He did not fail. He will see the travail of his soul and be satisfied. The Blood of Christ is the one sacrifice, the one offering, the one atonement. It’s the sole reason for our justification. Not the blood of Christ plus your faith. Not the blood of Christ plus your works. Not the blood of Christ plus your decision. It's the Blood that maketh atonement for the soul. He didn't fail.
We are loved in Christ, chosen in Christ, redeemed in Christ, accepted in Christ, Glorified in Christ.
Our Lord did not shed his blood for those in hell or those on the road to hell. He shed his blood for His people...
Down there in Egypt the blood was on the door and lintel of his people... everywhere God saw the blood, that dark terrible night, he passed over. And where there's no blood there's no justification.
Why did Christ die on the cross, well he died to enable Christ to be just and justifier. Peter said he died the just for the unjust to bring us to God. Literally bring us to God. Well, when de died did he litteraly bring everybody to God? The Scripture says he died to put away sin... did he put away sin... by the sacrifice of himself.. He purged our sins. Well, did he or didn't he. If he did that for every human being than there's Universal Salvation, everybody will be saved. But if he did it for the believer, those who rest in Christ, then those are the one's that will be saved. God's love and God's will and Christ's blood are in perfect harmony. Whom the father chose, Christ redeemed and Holy Ghost calls...
Why did Christ Die? He was made sin for us that knew no sin. That we might be made the righteous of God in him. Everybody whom he as made sin will be made the righteous of God. EVERYBODY! Every sin he paid for he paid for. Every debt he paid is paid He perfected forever..
Hebrews:10:14:
"For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified."
PERFECT is PERFECT... lacking nothing.
1St Peter:2:24:
"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."
By his stripes we are healed...
John 6:63:
"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."
John 16:7-8:
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:"
John 14:26:
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
Romans 15:13:
"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost."
1St Cor 12:3:
"Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost."
John 3:8:
"Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again (FROM ABOVE). The wind (spirit) bloweth where it listeth (desires), and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence (from where) it cometh (comes), and whither (where) it goeth (goes): so is every one that is born of the Spirit."
When the Holy Spirit calls you, you will be willing.
1St John 5:7:
"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
